In the prestigious setting of Matelica, during the evocative Gala Dinner of the XX Amigos de Partagás on Saturday, July 4th, was presented in world premiere the long-awaited The Royal Selections of the Regional Edition of Italy 2025. An announcement that literally set the audience of enthusiasts and collectors present at the event alight and which immediately found practical confirmation: starting this week, in fact, the cigar will be officially distributed throughout the national territory thanks to Diadema SpA.
The brand The Escepción, a pre-revolutionary brand founded around 1850 by Don José Gener y Batet and discontinued in 1989, thus returns to be an absolute protagonist on the Italian market. This new release does not only represent the launch of a new cigar, but the true culmination of a profound philological and sentimental journey that has brought back to life a myth of the slow smoke.

The La Escepción Trilogy is completed
With the launch of the Selectos Reales, the chapter of what enthusiasts call venerable takes shape “La Escepción trilogy”. This project began in 2011 and saw the brand produce exclusively for the Italian market, making these editions unique on a global scale:
- Selectos Finos (2011): The memorable debut that put the brand back in the spotlight.
- Don José (2015): Confirmation of a refined and philologically accurate style.
- Selectos Reales (2025): The final step in the telling of an extraordinary story.
To date, owning the first two releases is a privilege reserved for very few lucky collectors, given that the cigars are now considered practically impossible to find on the market.
Technical features and commemorative details
The Selectos Reales it's a prison vitola Bell, a large format with great palate presence, with a 52 mm diameter and 140 mm length.
This release, however, contains an even deeper meaning: it celebrates the 25th Anniversary of Diadema SpA.. For the occasion, the cigar was embellished with unique and original details:
- A'’commemorative ring specifically dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Italian importer.
- A'’additional ring on the foot of the cigar that brings the Vitola de Salida.
- A strictly limited production of only 4,000 numbered boxes.
