The Roman summer of 2026 is tinged with the colors of great mixology. Balls, the oldest and only distillery still active in the Capital since the early twentieth century, has announced a prestigious collaboration with the DoubleTree by Hilton Rome Monti. From May to September, the exclusive Mùn Rooftop Cocktail Bar It will become the stage for a series of unmissable events for lovers of fine drinking, offering a suggestive view of the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and the entire Eternal City.
An exceptional Guest Shift calendar
The heart of the initiative is a program of four meetings featuring some of the most influential names in the international mixology scene. Guest bartenders will create exclusive drinks using iconic labels from the Pallini portfolio.
Here are the dates to mark in your diary:
- Friday, May 22 (from 6:00 PM): We start with the elegance of the bartenders of the The St. Regis Venice, which will feature cocktails made with the award-winning No.3 London Dry Gin. In an exchange of excellence, Mùn's Head Bartender, Marco Favorito, will also be a guest of the Venetian lagoon.
- Thursday, June 25: Mexican atmospheres with the team of The Punta Expendio de Agave, for an evening dedicated to Agavesitus and fresh agave-based blends.
- Thursday, July 16: The famous expert Max La Rocca will lead a masterclass and a guest shift focused on Tequila Ghost, the spicy distillate that combines agave with chili pepper.
- Thursday, September 24: The grand finale celebrates the territory with Limoncello Balls (produced with Sfusato IGP lemons from the Amalfi Coast) and Ginarte Dry Gin. The evening will be enriched by a live artistic performance inspired by the Roman landscape.
A sensory and botanical experience
It won't just be taste that takes centre stage. Every evening will be accompanied by a DJ set and from a wanted man botanical display Immersive. Guests will stroll among lemon, chili pepper, juniper, Spanish orange, mountain pine, and lavender plants. This thoughtful arrangement will allow them to see and touch the raw materials used in the cocktails, creating a profound connection between the ingredient and the tasting.
“Spirits of Rome”: Mùn's new drinks list
The partnership between Pallini and the hotel in Piazza dell'Esquilino doesn't end with events. A selection of the distillery's labels has been included in Mùn's new signature drink list, titled “Spirits of Rome”. It is a true "liquid tale" that aims to celebrate Rome's identity through contemporary aromas and suggestions.
Summer at the DoubleTree by Hilton Rome Monti promises to be a hub for Roman social life, combining the history of a family that has been crafting Roman excellence for over a century with the modernity of one of the city's most beautiful terraces.
